Countdown to the Start: June 16th in One Week!
Don, Drew, Holly & Greg gathered today for our first complete "Team Portland" ride. Riding 60 miles from SE Portland out to the Women's Overlook and then Crown Point in the Gorge, we had a first taste of what a well-oiled Portland, Oregon contingency we will be! We were able to see some beautiful scenery, have a great time riding together and enjoy the virtues of Crown Point espresso and ice cream.
Thanks go to our riding buddy and cameraman, Joe Dean (below), for his great shot taken against all odds of glaring sun and a smeared-screen I-Phone. Way to go, Joe, who is here pointing out Rooster Rock in the Gorge below.
Lovin' That Frank
Frank will be riding with us in spirit as we travel across the country. His ability to tackle the toughest mountains (and tasks) while at the same time encouraging those around him was legendary. He knew how to ride with ease while taking some of the best photos ever. His laugh was contagious. His heart was huge. Thinking of you, Frank, with love and admiration.
